Hugh Porter came in afternoon and Polly, Betty, Anne and Hugh went to the Englehearts at the Priory Stoke by Nayland to see some private theatricals.
Betty and Hugh dined with the Dawsons? at Groton House and then went with a party of the Bonsys? to the County Ball at Bury St Edmunds.

Bitterly cold - no fire!
Betty after dropping us at Village Hall drove to Colchester and met Miss Ethel Browning and Ruth Browning.
