Week of 13 February 1928

Tuesday, 14 February
Edwardstone House
I drove Betty to Sudbury station to go up to London to stay with Enid for massage treatment for a month.
Pippa went off in the car to Aspill Hall to stay the night with the Chevaliers for a dance.
Admiral Simpson from Stoke called to ask me to act as local representative of the Stoke-Melford benefit club. I said I would consider it.
Wednesday, 15 February
Pippa came back just before lunch from Apsill. She had enjoyed the dance last night.
Announcement on the wireless of the death of Earl of Oxford and Asquith.
I visited Capt Dean and joined the British Legion, Boxford Branch.
Friday, 17 February
Leslie Fryer came to lunch and stayed on to tea. Pippa went to Red Cross class at Sudbury in the evening with Miss Dawson and another.
Saturday, 18 February
Polly drove Pippa to Sudbury station and she went off to London to stay with Gran and go with Betty to see the "tods" this afternoon at Limpsfield?
Johnny Evans arrived in his car from Earls Colne where he is staying with the Reynolds. He looked very ill and his trip to Paris doctors has done him no good. He stayed to lunch.
Polly drove to East Bergholt and returned the call of Mrs Elay?
