Betty went to Lavenham and played tennis with the Lennox-Cunninghams.
Pippa arrived at 15 Pelham Crescent from Switzerland this evening and rang Polly up on the telephone.
Sunday, 2 September
Betty met Pippa at Colchester station on her return from London and Switzerland. She was away from here for 6 weeks. Looks very well.
