Edwardstone House
I went out riding with Betty in the morning. Polly and I lunched with
Admiral and Mrs Simpson at Stoke-by-Nayland.
Wilma went out riding on the big horse in afternoon and Betty biked
with her. Polly and Enid met Eve at Colchester in evening. Polly and I
went to say goodbye to the vicar and his wife before dinner time but
found them out.
Wednesday, 11 April
Pippa drove Betty and Anne to Sudbury to catch 8.30 train to London.
Anne to go over to Dover? to stay.
Wilma and I went for a ride in morning. In the afternoon Pippa drove
to Lavenham to play tennis at the rectory with the Lennox Cunninghams.
Wilma and I marked out the lawn tennis court after it had been mown.
Thursday, 12 April
Belle, Margaret and Peronel Chevallier came to lunch and Leslie came
in afternoon.
Pippa and Betty dined with the Lennox Cunninghams at Lavenham Rectory
and there was a small dance afterwards.
