Heard on the wireless that Field Marshal Earl Haig had died suddenly in London.
Friday, 3 February
Today F.M. Lord Haig’s funeral took place - or at least the first stop, from St Columba’s Church Pont Street to Westminster Abbey, and then on to Waterloo Station en route for Edinburgh.
Sunday, 5 February
Both the maidservants and Mrs Gart were out in the evening, and P and B did the supper.
